After over 10 years of being together, R&S have built a home, life and family in California and decided to finally make it official in France. They even had to choose a new wedding venue, which turned out to be even more perfect than their first choice. The origins of Chateau de Clerbise, where they finally celebrated the wedding, can be traced back to the 12th century and the remains of a Romanesque chapel still stand in the grounds.

C'était une cérémonie intime où n’étaient présents que les plus proches membres de la famille et amis. Les mariés attendent avec impatience la possibilité de célébrer leur grand mariage en septembre.

Covid-19 made intimate and private home weddings a new trend. Chateau Forge du Roy, a vacation rental chateau in the historic and picturesque Dordogne department, is a nice place for an intimate home-style wedding. A rainy day added even more "Monet" inspiration to this day.

We wanted to highlight the black woman in the fine art wedding industry: often hidden and yet so beautiful and elegant. And what could be better for doing this than choosing two most iconic Parisian places for this shoot: The Trocadero with an Eiffel Tower view and The Louvre. Respecting the French “art de Vivre,” we also couldn't resist a cup of coffee in a local café.

Despite the Covid-19 this year one of my favourite wedding venues in France - Château Bouffémont - together with one of the best wedding florists in France - Akiko from Floraison - created beautiful Christmas decoration. Madame de la Maison provided the linens and tableware. I was honoured to have been invited to capture Akiko's beautiful work on the Christmas table, fireplace and, of course, the Christmas tree with beautifully wrapped gifts in emerald Grand Salon. The mood was cozy, elegant and chic.
