Elegant Bridal Inspiration in Paris

Elegance & Revelation is the name of this styled shoot. We wanted to highlight the black woman in the fine art wedding industry: often hidden and yet so beautiful and elegant. And what could be better for doing this than choosing two most iconic Parisian places for this shoot: The Trocadero with an Eiffel Tower view and The Louvre. Respecting the French “art de Vivre,” we also couldn't resist a cup of coffee in a local café.

To represent this strong and beautiful black women, we chose a stunning model - Marie, a beautiful woman with ebony skin and short hair. With the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre as our backdrop, we weaved this idea of simplicity throughout our styling. As makeup artist and hairstylist, Widnie Alexis kept the bride’s look natural and glowy to highlight the beauty of her skin color and embrace her natural short hair.

Our bride wore a wedding gown and cape from La Mariée Capricieuse Paris boutique. We are so in love with this beautiful flower and pearl cape created by Nada from La Mariée Capricieuse herself which sublimates this modern adaptation of a classic wedding princess gown with shimmering details she also provided for the shoot. Beretkah's flower crown, that looks like it was made of glass, was absolutely perfect to complement our models short natural hair with these beautiful flowers and leaves. For the second look we took the cape off to show the beautiful bustier of the dress and completed our bride’s look with a golden ring, bracelet and leaf-shaped earrings with Swarovski stones provided by a Parisian designer - La Paritaine.

Our color palette was built around shades of peach, ochre, pink and green all of which worked together beautifully with the wedding gown and Paris romantic exteriors. Yuko from La Plume Fleur Paris worked with this vibrant color palette to enhance the beauty of our bride with amazing seasonal flowers. She opted for beautiful roses, chrysanthemums and symphoricarpos. Our vivid use of color showcases how stunning fresh, vibrant color tones can be in a bridal bouquet.

Ethy from Letter Blooms created the perfect first impression with a calligraphed "Save the date".
