Diversity and inclusion are the core values of my business because it’s the way I think and see the world myself. It was important for me to show a gorgeous black queen and Shanenn was absolutely perfect for this role. I wanted her to wear the most beautiful dress, luxury jewellery and get her beauty done by the most amazing Isabelle Boireau. We walked in some of the most elegant locations and got a lot of attention, compliments and even a song from a group of ladies met on the street.
Ideally, we wanted to have a very natural hair look with Isabelle because I see it as a true beauty and power of black girls and I think we all should be able to express our natural beauty and not follow the rules about the way we should look dictated by the society. But we had to compromise with Shanenn’s vision of herself and the way she is used to get her hair done.
