While the temperatures get colder, the soft winter light becomes beautifully flattering, and some of the most iconic locations feel surprisingly intimate. For families visiting Paris, this season offers a unique opportunity to create elegant, timeless portraits without the crowds that often fill the city during warmer months.
This wonderful family traveled to Paris with their two boys and dreamed of capturing their time together in the City of Light. We planned a luxury family photoshoot across three of my favorite Paris locations: the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Palais Royal.

Eiffel Tower Family Photos in Winter
No family trip to Paris feels complete without the Eiffel Tower. We began the session early in the morning when the city was still waking up. The soft winter sky created a beautiful backdrop while allowing the family to enjoy the iconic views without the usual crowds.
Timeless Family Photography at the Louvre
From the Eiffel Tower, we continued to the Louvre, one of the most iconic locations in Paris. The grand architecture, elegant courtyards, and historic details create a setting that never goes out of style. Winter mornings are especially beautiful here, with soft light reflecting off the stone facades and creating the dreamy aesthetic that my clients love.
Elegant Family Portraits at Palais Royal
We finished the session at Palais Royal, one of Paris’s most elegant and photogenic locations.
The architectural symmetry, historic arcades, and iconic black-and-white columns provide a refined backdrop that feels both sophisticated and playful. It is one of my favorite places for luxury family photography in Paris because it offers endless variety while maintaining a timeless Parisian atmosphere.
For families with children, Palais Royal is particularly wonderful. The open spaces allow kids to move freely while parents can relax and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
Years from now, these two boys will not remember every detail of their family vacation in Paris. But they will have photographs that remind them how much they were loved, how they laughed together, and how special this season of life truly was.
