Notre-Dame de Paris Elopement

The possibilities for a destination wedding in Paris are endless. But Carla and Steve exchanged their vows at a very special place – they had the historic Notre-Dame Cathedral in the background.

They have chosen the wonderful Michelle from Ruffled By Grace to officiate their ceremony. Michelle thinks that:

"Ceremonies are the very best when they are personalized and “tailored” to fit the couple. Your day is yours. With all the abundance and blessings from above, this moment belongs to you. My hope for every couple is that they are able to claim their wedding day the same way they have claimed their love story. My job is to help make that happen. And I was very lucky to be chosen by Carla and Steve to be able to tell their story."

As it was cherry blossoms time in Paris in April, the bride wanted to keep the colour palette simple and asked Kahina Events for white flowers and Ivy Cousin for a modern calligraphy with a great focus on the Notre-Dame. Their cake was also almost white with beautiful sugar cherry blossoms.

We couldn't be more heartbroken at the images of fire engulfing Notre-Dame later the same day. At the same time we felt blessed to have been able to witness it's eternal beauty and capture this last images of it before the fire. So this day will have a special place in our hearts forever.
