Jon and April commemorated their engagement with a pre-wedding shoot in the famed City of Lights with Daria Lorman Photography. The couple looked picture perfect in custom-made Veen N The Bridal Couture as they journeyed across the city of Paris.
How they met…
“Jon and April attended the same school in Kuala Lumpur, but back then they barely spoke to one another. They crossed paths again 7 years ago, and since then everything just felt right. April found her soulmate, her best friend and her husband.”
About their engagement shoot…
“In January 2017, Jon and April decided on forever. They wanted to celebrate their engagement in the most beautiful and romantic city - Paris. They fell in love with the beautiful architecture of the city, and knew it was the best place to shoot their pre-wedding. April chose a bouquet of blue and white Hortensia flowers to complement Jon’s suit and her custom-made gowns. After the iconic: Iron lady -Eiffel tower-, Alexandre III bridge and the Louvre, the couple headed to the Luxembourg Gardens and strolled small parisian streets, receiving congratulations from all the people passing by. ”
Do you have any interesting moments or stories to share from the day of the shoot?
“Some of our best memories happened in Paris. We were lucky to have found Daria to capture our pre-wedding shoot - she's fun, friendly and most importantly, we felt at ease around her. It seemed strange to simply part ways after the shoot was over, so Daria brought us to have the best ice cream in Paris at Il Gelato Del Marchese.
People congratulated us throughout the day of the shoot too, which was nice.”
Any tips or advice for couples planning destination pre-wedding shoots?
“Be careful when sunbathing. Tan lines can ruin the look of a dress, especially if it has an open back or exposes your shoulders.
Find a local photographer who knows the beautiful little known corners of the city who will also be able to give you tips on the best places to visit!”
